What You Will Need:
- Strong background in Fluid Mechanics, Turbulent Flow, and Heat Transfer
- Strong mathematical and numerical knowledge of Navier-Stokes CFD solver methods for Incompressible / Compressible Flows
- Proven experience and contributions to complex CFD solvers for turbulent flow and heat transfer
- Object Orientated programming in C++ for scientific computing and Python (or similar) for scripting
- PhD in an applicable technical field with 0-3 years of industry experience
Preferred:
- Industry experience with implementation and testing of new features in commercial Navier Stokes CFD solvers
- Expertise in one or more of the following topics:
- Linear solvers and convergence acceleration of CFD solvers (Multigrid algorithms, etc)
- Immersed Boundary, Overset, Adaptive Mesh Refinement methods
- Turbulence modeling and wall-functions (RANS, hybrid RANS-LES)
- Computational Aerodynamics and Aeroacoustics
- Multiphase flow numerical methods (Levelset, VOF, etc)
- Development of scalable, parallel CFD solvers using MPI, OpenMP, or CUDA

Primary roles and responsibilities of the position:
- Requires good communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- A Bachelors/Masters/PhD degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related discipline
- Experience in developing morphing/geometric/mesh algorithms and related data structures in industry, research, or academia
- High proficiency in mathematics, discrete geometry and numerical techniques
- Proficiency in C++ programming and object-oriented application design
- Experience/knowledge of parallel programming, OpenGL, CUDA and related data structures will be plus
- Understanding of CAD/CAE element software a plus
- Experience with Agile and lean software development processes is also a plus.
- Requires good communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Assistant Teaching Professor - Education (Northern Arizona University)
$ 75,000 - $ 100,000 Mensual
This is a Faculty (FAC) position. NAU offers an excellent benefit package including generous health, dental and vision insurance participation in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) or the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) sick leave accruals and 10 holidays per year and tuition reduction for employees and qualified family members. Employees offered a position will be eligible for state health plans (including NAUs BCBS Plan). Employees will have 31 days from date of hire to enroll in benefits, and their benefits will then be effective the first day of the pay period following their completed enrollment. If a new employee chooses the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) retirement option, participation in the ASRS Plan (and the long-term disability coverage that accompanies it) will begin on the first of the pay period following 183 days of employment. New employees who choose to participate in the Optional Retirement Plan (ORP an alternative to the ASRS plan) will begin to participate on the first day of employment. The long-term disability plan that accompanies the ORP will begin on the first day of the pay period following 90 days of employment.
